Laboratory 1 - Current Computer Architectures

- OBJECT:
- To become familiar with current computer architectures and projects using
the World Wide Web.
- REFERENCE(S):

and Hennessy
- PROCEDURE:

- Use the Computer
Architecture Home Page CPU Info Center as starting points.
- A specific computer architecture project will be assigned to each
student.
- Examine the assigned computer architecture project and summarize the
problem addressed, the solution, major innovations and future development.
- REPORT:

- Write a report in HTML.
- Discuss the computer architecture project in concise and meaningful
terms.
- The report should contain links to support your arguments in the
report.
- Limit the report length to two HTML pages with preformatted text
i.e. about two single spaced typed pages.
- Use the HTML
laboratory format.
- Name the document lab1.html and place the report in the
subdirectory public_html/493 in your home directory on the
departmental workstations.
